In My Dreams

1.
I woke up from a dream set in Castle Green, the Victorian former hotel where I lived when I was married. My ex-husband's new girlfriend was helping me repair a rip in my wedding dress, a Victorian nightgown, so I could remarry him. She smiled and helped, but she was cuddled with him and it was clear this was going to be a remarriage with an understanding.

None of my things were in our apartment, so  I went downstairs to borrow some thread. There was an air of festival in the lobby and I realized it was for my wedding, but no one recognized me as the bride. The only thread the front desk had was black. They wanted to know the apartment number to lend me the thread, but I couldn't remember it.

What woke me from my dream was a homeless man yodeling across the street.

I dreamed I had a baby tiger and I broke its heart because it grew up too quickly and I was scared to cuddle with it. It wasn't symbolism, it was because I was looking a people's dating profile pictures with probably sedated tigers.

  1. I had a dream last night that my husband had left me; I don't know if he died or just took off. Yesterday was our anniversary in real life but not in the dream. In my dream some man was trying to persuade me to live with him--he kept taking me to apartments in life care communities until I screamed at him that I was not going to live in a box.

Are you on a "normal" dating site (POF, Match.com)? I can't imagine what kind of people have pictures of themselves with sedated tigers on a dating website.

    1. People in Southern California. It's practically a trope.

Just seeing your comment now. Sorry for your scary dream; it does have that scary dream feel.
